The history of Los Yorks: La banda mas held in the Peruvian scene of the late 60'sPor: Arturo VigilLos Yorks, the group which generates more than an unbridled excitement in Lima and too many teenagers around the Peru, beyond the mid - sixties, and always remained distant and reluctant to grant interviews, probably because the wildness of an era had a birth certificate and an abrupt end. And as someone once said, many of them never wanted to remember the past, as it corresponded to a stage of their lives and that is perhaps, in the limbo of their memories. Like the characters who perform in the series, many of the actors in The Sopranos are Italo. Because the actors Italo roles assigned to them are often associated with the Mafia in Hollywood productions, many cast members had appeared together in films and television series before joining Los Soprano. The series shares a total of 27 players with the film by Martin Scorsese one of us, 1990, including leading members Lorraine Bracco, Michael Imperioli and Tony Sirico. Eight actors from the Sopranos also appears in the 1999 comedy Mickey Blue Eyes.
The division was created through a process of auditions and readings. The actors often do not know if he liked his performances Chase or not. Michael Imperioli, who surpass several actors for the role of Christopher Moltisanti, recalls: "He has a poker face, so I thought that was not in me and giving me notes and continuous teniendome trying again, what is often a sign it is not doing well. Pense not get this. Then he said, 'Thank you' and I leave. I did not expect a response. But they called. " James Gandolfini was invited to audition for the role of Tony Soprano after the casting director, Susan Fitzgerald, saw a short snippet of his performance in the film Love at point blank range in 1993. Lorraine Bracco, who previously had played the role of Karen Hill, wife of the mobster Henry Hill (Ray Liotta), one of us was invited to represent the role of Carmela Soprano. She took the role of Dr. Jennifer Melfi because he wanted to try something different and feel part of the cultured Dr. Melfi more than a serious challenge for her. Tony Sirico, who has a criminal history related to the mafia, I have the role of Paulie Gualtieri on condition that his character was not a "rat" (FBI informant). Chase invite musician "Little Steven" Van Zandt (known as the guitarist for the E Street Band Bruce Springsteen) to audition for a part in his series after watching the ceremony live at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 1997 and were impressed with their appearance and presence. Chase created the character of Silvio Dante especially for Van Zandt. Silvio's wife in the series is represented by Maureen, Van Zandt's wife in real life.
With the exception of the Oscar-nominated Bracco (one of ours) and Dominic Chianese (The Godfather II), and Emmy winner Nancy Marchand (Lou Grant), the cast of the season debut of the series consisted largely of unknown actors.
